You know, I've always been imagining all these crazy impossible combinations on UB. My craziest one is: Chusovitina-Def-Bhardwaj-Seitz-Pak-Komova II. I have absolutely no ideas what the connection value is, assuming that its even possible :D
You know, I think it would be awesome if the FIG could let the women compete on close bars like during Nadia's time. The closer bars exercises were really different and have a different feel about them and in Nadia's routine it almost had a rhythm and beat to it.
You know I had gymnastics class(FINALLY) and we did vault. We were supposed to jump onto the vault and make a tuck shape or something. I'm really short and it was hard for me and when I managed to do it I had too much momentum going forwards and I fell off onto my face XDXDXD
Yeah, Universiade and Classics are pretty important. Asian Championships have the Chinese, Japs and North Koreans. Phan Thi Ha Phan will be there, probably.
I can't imagine her her looking 'old'. I mean, Chusovitina does look kinda old, no offense to her. But she is pretty much ancient in the world of gymnastics.
I used Google translate to make in into English, and guess what came up?
'Russian National team will play Aliya Mustafina, Anastasia Grishina and Maria bee farm/Paseka. I lol'd myself to death.
Yup. That's why some of the gymternet refers to Maria Paseka as "Bee Farm".
The gymternet has nicknames for a lot of the Russian gymnasts: Musty (Aliya Mustafina), Vika (Viktoria Komova), Afan (Ksenia Afanasyeva), Semy (Ksenia Semenova), Demy (Anna Dementyeva), Pavs (Anna Pavlova), Nabs (Tatiana Nabieva), Grishy (Anastasia Grishina).
The gymternet also sometimes refers to Larisa Iordache as "Pikachu" because of the yellow leotard she wore to last year's Euros.
I wish we had more bar workers. We used to have so many back in the day (McNamara, Miller, Dawes, Chow, Ray, Vise, Kupets). Now the US has Kyla, Katelyn, and Lexie. Polina could use some polishing in her routine.
If US can get some more good bar workers, they'd be unstoppable! But I'm team Russia, so I sorta hope they won't :P. I just really want to see more Pak saltos, they're one of the most graceful skills I have ever seen. But I don't want Paks to become too common, like double Pikes in beam and floor.
Have you seen it? It's absolutely amazing, just as good as the 2012 one. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmewBvCT4X0 It's at the 2013 AT&T American cup. She's still nailing that Silivas in her opening tumble!
Of course I did! I watched Scam the whole way through from the livestream to when Katelyn won. Tori's always been awesome. I want her to medal on floor at Worlds this year.
